This morning I passed
a giant white oak,
the same one I've been
walking by for the past seventeen years.
Only this morning,
A sign was glaring from it,
saying "No Trespassing."
There were two more signs
nailed to the sides of the tree.
Who trespassed to post those
notices?
How odd, that someone trespassed
just to post those hideous
signs,
which might as well have
been obscenities.
